Onwards and upwards for local training provider
Recent months have been very busy at Birkenhead based training company NVQ Training & Consultancy Services as riding on the back of a strong Ofsted Inspection the company is delighted to announce a number of key changes to its Management Board.
From November 1st 2008, Christine Lawrence will become the Chief Executive Officer of the company, with Sandra Kirkham, currently Managing Director, moving to the position of Chair. Other key moves are that Catherine Murray-Howard, Lawrence Dobie and Gillian Hunt will become Directors and Jackie Hutchinson, currently Director of Sales & Marketing, will become the sales consultant for the company.
Primarily a training organisation for the Health & Social Care Sector, in its first inspection the company received a Grade 2 overall and Grade 2’s (Good) across the board for all areas. The inspectors said in their report the companies strengths lay in “High success rates, good coaching and mentoring” and that the learners remained ‘motivated’ throughout their time on programme.
Company Chair, Sandra Kirkham, said of the results, “As a work based provider it is extremely difficult to achieve the high standards of learning expected from the Ofsted standards, these results demonstrate that our hard work and commitment to quality to the learner and the employer is reaping rewards.”
NVQ Training and Consultancy is an approved provider in the Train to Gain programme and explain that the recent relaxation of government eligibility requirements has led to an increase in learners benefiting from the training and gaining the qualification.
NVQ Training and Consultancy Services has been established 10 years and is based in Birkenhead, the company delivers training to many of the UK’s largest training groups and their client list includes many local authorities including Cheshire County Council and Wirral Borough Council.

Matrix Excellence Awards 2007

What are the Excellence Awards?
The prestigious matrix Excellence Awards are designed to acknowledge the tremendous achievements of organisations that have truly set an example for others in the use of the matrix Standard.
Organised by ENTO and backed by the Department for Innovation University and Skills, the matrix Excellence Awards attract entries from all over the country and from all types and sizes of organisation accredited to the matrix Standard.
Competition is tough as each application goes through a rigorous Judging process. A panel of experienced judges thoroughly evaluates every aspect of the organisation's application.
Those who have taken the matrix Journey know that it is focused on demonstrating real results, not simply describing them. Achieving a matrix Excellence Award means that each organisation has proved to the judges that they have used the matrix Standard in such a way that it has brought significant benefits.
NVQ Training & Consultancy Services has been short listed for the 2007 Awards, further announcements will be made at the end of November 2007.
