Skills for Life
NVQ Training and Consultancy are in a position to offer all learners the opportunity to undertake fully funded training for a nationally recognised qualification in Literacy and/or Mathematics.
The qualifications are delivered in the workplace and by using a variety of methods, such as one-to-one learning and group workshops our learners can achieve a qualification in as little as 6 months.
Increasingly many adults are taking the opportunity to gain this training as the skills that it enhances are used in many every day activities; Activities such as writing a letter, shopping, understanding a pay-slip and helping with homework.
By taking these qualifications a learner can gain confidence and self-esteem and the training can provide a platform for further training and development.
Who should take Skills for Life?
There are many adults who, for a variety of reasons, did not attain a particular standard in English or Maths at school.
These adults, who are now in employment or volunteers, are ideal for the qualification-it can be taken as part of an NVQ or stand alone.
